GEORGINA FERNANDEZ – 15 QUESTIONS TO

1. Where are you from and where do you actually live right now?

I was born and raised in Barcelona and I live in Berlin.

2. For those that don’t know you, can you tell us a little about yourself?

A lot of people know me as Baby G, this has been my Dj name for about 13 years.
Apart dj-ing all over the world, I have been doing music under different alias, L.S.B. for the last 6 years and the most recent Dance Disorder.

3. Tell me about your musical development: what is the music you grew up with and what are the first records that really struck you?

I grew up listening to 80’s pop, that was all you could listen to in Spain back then.
The first record that struck me was “Boulevard” by St. Germain, I didn’t know much about house music before then, but after I started digging for house and garage records and then I started discovering the original disco tracks from where those house tracks took their samplers and there were so many records that really struck me then, that this could go forever!!

4. How did you get into electronic music?

By going out clubbing in Barcelona in the mid nineties, that was when the dj culture really exploded there.

5. Could you describe your current studio setup and what are you making music with?

I have a very simple set up, I mainly work around audio samplers with my computer and then I finish the production in a professional studio with nice synthesizers, compressors and mixing desk..

On new Dance Disorder material and podcasts for various webs.

At the moment I dj but would love to put together a Dance Disorder live act in the future.

9. Your highlight and lowlight of 2009?

Moving to Berlin is the best that happened to me last year, the city and the people are amazing, I am really enjoying it. Not having the sun of Barcelona in my face probably was the low part of it.

10. What was your favourite track in 2009 and what is you favourite track this year so far?

On 2009 the first Dance Disorder single, “My Time”, and this year “Zusammen” of course.
